Despite the weather this very popular all play all tournament took place. They came from far and wide, with the Isle of Wight the most notable. Two Bournemouth Club players entered, myself and Paul Jackson. Again Paul proved his much improved game, by drawing in the first round against the eventual winner with a grade of 191 (Paul is graded under 140). Overall he only lost one game, picking up grading prize, which was much deserved. I did fairly well with two wins, a draw and three losses. I didn't fair so well against the higher ranked players, but nevertheless I really enjoyed the games. All the details are on the Dorset Chess website site.
