Handicap Tournament with Poole Chess Club
Result: Bournemouth 5 points - Poole 13 points
The friendly match organised by our own Chairman Paul Errington and Eric Sachs of Poole Chess Club, took place over two nights. It was a huge success and so good for chess as a whole.
The trophy was awarded to Bournemouth after completion last night of the second leg of the match. A great performance by all Bournemouth players, who played in great spirit, allowing players over the board chess - not enjoyed for such a long time. A generous handicap was given to Bournemouth by a very experienced Poole club.
Everyone looks forward to the return match next time, if we wish to retain the trophy! A big challenge for our new emerging members.
